It’s about the desperate loneliness of some folks who latch onto tv marketplaces and the karma of the guy answering the phone. He’s sympathetic but flustered and tired. It happens every year but he doesn’t know what to do. One of the millions of similar scenes signaling the slow and ugly death of capitalism.

I wrote most of it in 20 minutes then returned to it a year later and tweaked it a bit.
