Director Biography
Nasheet Zaman’s interest in visual storytelling was first sparked by filming comedy sketches with her family and directing plays for the Bangladeshi-American community talent shows in her hometown of Columbus, Ohio. Her passion for art, storytelling, and innovation led her to study computer science and creative writing at Cornell University. She graduated with a Masters in Computer Graphics, then began her career as a CG Artist in Los Angeles and Toronto, contracted by Sony Imageworks, Rhythm and Hues, Arc Productions, and Disney Animation over the next 10 years. Her credits include Beowulf, G-Force, The Smurfs, Life of Pi, Tangled, Wreck-It Ralph, Frozen, Big Hero 6, and Moana. In 2017, she returned to her hometown to take on a dual role as VFX Supervisor at the Ohio Film Group and Assistant Professor at Columbus College of Art and Design.
