Title: PRAYERS: A DIVINE COMEDY IN TWO ACTS OF FAITH

Written by: KEN PISANI

Genre: Comedy

Type: Stage Play

LOGLINE: A soldier at a checkpoint. A surgeon with her hands full. A Muslim on his lunch break. A bickering elderly couple, and two businessmen on the road. What could they possibly have in common? More than they know as a series of absurdly conflicted vignettes reveal: arguments about faith and doubt…hope and yearning…belief and skepticism. Prayers are offered fervently and reluctantly, debated and mocked. The prayers themselves are devout and smug, anguished and convicted. And always in conflict with an equal, skeptical force. Until one man tests another’s faith in a desperate attempt to know the truth.
