This tip is based off a comment I came across yesterday from a Wattpad book about getting your book, and yourself, noticed on the website. It asked what a blurb is and the importance of a blurb.
Firstly, what is a blurb?
Well, a blurb is a summary of the story. It usually summarises the main character(s) in one sentence – essentially – and outlines the main plot. It can sometimes include a question that hints as to what the character(s)’ main dilemma is going to be and it can usually be found at the end of the blurb, or description.
What is the importance of a blurb?
