Casey immediately knew she wanted to be a filmmaker after her father made her watch the classics, like” Goodfellas” and “Annie Hall”, at a very young age. She has been pursuing a career in producing/directing independent film in New York for the past four years. Casey was recently awarded the National Board of Review Student Grant for “CARL”, as well the New York Women in Film & Television Emerging Female Filmmaker Award.
“CARL” is Casey’s directorial debut and she couldn’t be more ecstatic to share this film, which tells the story of her best friend and confidant, her father. She hopes that “CARL” will take the viewer on a journey through the eyes of a man who had to overcome the impossible and found a silver lining.
