A young sarcastic, closeted man risks being outed to his homophobic parents, when he inadvertently makes a clueless young woman believe he’s in love with her. All while their stormy transition to adulthood juxtaposes the tranquility and peace of the island they inhabit.
William “Will” Rooney, a 19-year-old college drop-out lives in a seeming paradise, but he creates his own perfect storm when his parents almost catch him kissing his boyfriend Josiah. Will visits Josiah at work and they speak of their uncertain future, as Will is a closeted gay man who’s fearful of his parents’ homophobia. At home Will is criticized by his parents for being a college-drop out and for never bringing a girl home.
