Summary of where we are when the best scene occurs:
The scene with Reynard the Fox (a.k.a. “Rey”) occurs very near the end of the drama. The protagonists, Mark and Mary, have been preparing to reveal to the Earth their discovery of the quantum secret behind human existence, characterized as the Cosmosis of Worlds. This grand quest of theirs has just become thwarted by the virtual disappearance of their renowned mentor. Shaken but still resolute, Mark and Mary resolve to narrow their focus and make the best of things by being eager to do good to everyone and everything they encounter, close to home, starting with, as it turns out, Reynard the Fox.
