In this coming of age romantic drama the story follows two teenage best friends, Chelsea and Makenna. Chelsea is an introverted and intuitive writer who is turning 18. After her parents’ nasty divorce Chelsea has not seen her father in years. When her birthday rolls around she is free to make her own decision about whether or not she wants to see him. With this newfound agency Chelsea asks her confident and adventurous best friend Makenna to meet her estranged father during their road trip to Chelsea’s writing ceremony. Along the way the two must come to terms with their feelings towards one another, and what it means to grow up without growing apart.
