Howard W. Robertson: Isaac McClure is caught between his mother’s Ehattesaht world and his father’s Scottish. Born at Fort Astoria in 1824, he conceals his Native American identity to come back over the Oregon trail in 1853. He becomes part of racist pioneer society, is outed by chance, and an intense peripeteia ensues.

Drama; Historical; Adventure; Western; Philosophical Tale.
3. Why should this screenplay be made into a movie?
Because racism among the Oregon Trail pioneers has not been adequately dealt with before this movie. We as a culture need to go through an honest re-evaluation of who we were, who we are, and who we will become.
4. How would you describe this script in two words?
Profound; revisionist.
