The release of the new Netflix comedy series Space Force came on Friday, and while it was highly anticipated as a result of being Steve Carell’s first return to TV comedy since The Office, early reviews were pretty brutal. Most accused the show of being directionless and of being reverse-engineered around the title and basic idea. Early reaction from audiences, meanwhile, was much different, with a significant positive reception seen once the show started streaming.
