1. What motivated you to make this film?
I knew I wanted to make a film that carried sentimental significance to me and I decided that I would create the film that I needed as a gay youth. Perhaps if I had seen this film as a teenager, I would not have delayed my coming out until I was 27 years old. My father was always my role model in life, a strong, masculine figure that I looked up to, and I was always afraid of the possibility that he would not want his son to be gay.
