her scars are more beautiful
than the summer’s bloom

her broken face
once hidden in the night
shines brighter than the
yellow buds of spring

she’s exhausted
sweating as she face the
heat of the morning sun

but still,
she chooses to wake up

she chose to live
and fight every
weakening day

her scars became the
stars of her own sky

like tiny little sparkling dusts
painted all over her

she’s beautiful
and strong
that’s what she is

to others, she’s wilting
but to her, she’s growing
slowly, beautifully

and she knew one day
she’ll rise
and blossom
forever more
