The childhood serves as the emotional and psychological foundation that shapes human beings throughout their entire lives. Through poetic and evocative imagery, the script connects the stages of childhood, adulthood, and old age, revealing how early-life experiences remain as symbolic scars that define our existence.

The guiding thread is a Haiku symbolizing the eternal spring of childhood—a state that never completely vanishes and to which we return in old age. Adulthood, rather than being a definitive state, is an extension of our earliest emotions, wounds, and lessons.

Director Statement
As a filmmaker, I am fascinated by the fragility and resilience of the human experience. My work aims to explore the intricate emotions and unspoken connections that define us—our fears, joys, and the scars that shape who we are. Through storytelling, I strive to uncover the beauty in vulnerability and the poetry in the seemingly mundane.

With Niño Eterno, I wanted to delve into the cyclical nature of life, where childhood serves as both a beginning and an inevitable return. The film explores how our early years imprint us, how the wounds and love we receive shape us, and how, even in our final moments, we remain tethered to the innocence of our younger selves.

My creative process is deeply influenced by visual poetry and the power of symbolic imagery. In this film, the use of objects like the glass elephants represents fragility and memory, while the transitions between life stages evoke the universality of time and the emotional threads that bind us.

As a storyteller, my goal is to create films that resonate emotionally, encouraging audiences to reflect on their own inner child and the enduring impact of their past. I believe that cinema is not just a medium for telling stories, but a way to forge connections between people, allowing us to see ourselves in others.

I hope that Niño Eterno serves as a reminder of the timelessness of our emotions and the quiet beauty of embracing our shared humanity.
