RED THREAD, 5min., USA
Directed by Ella Jin Eckert
Red Thread is a personal short film inspired by the idea that an invisible red thread connects people who are destined to find one another. Through emotional visuals and intimate storytelling, the film explores themes of adoption, identity, family, and connection. As memories and relationships intertwine, the story reflects on how love and belonging can transcend distance, time, and circumstance. Inspired by the East Asian legend of the “red thread of fate,” the film highlights the unbreakable bonds that shape who we are.
