Just the Whites of Our Eyes, by Viktória Jánoki-Kis – Screenplay Reading

An elderly car mechanic from rural Hungary must undergo cataract surgery at a hospital in Budapest. To make the trip and spend one night in the capital, he is forced to rely on the help of his gay son, whom he disowned and threw out of the family home fifteen years earlier. Weary from the operation and with one eye bandaged, the stubborn old man arrives at his son’s home, where he is confronted with situations for which he is entirely unprepared.
