The Heart’s Tales
by Gloria Oyewusi

Shame seems to be a covering
While Faith and favour go a hiding
Hope, do something
So that life becomes worth living

I don’t seem to understand
I don’t seem to comprehend
What have I done wrong?
Can I make it right?
Oh! How hopeless it all appears to be
No! Faith, I need you to come alive in me
