Thank You
by Morgan Lawrence

Shared until our times,
There’s no going back,
Not on every past mistake,
Sometimes flames must burn weakly.

Too much has always been said,
Settling into our new routine,
The skies above are so empty,
As the ground below is so hollow.

I have all the time in the world,
Whilst you are here with me,
It doesn’t matter how much changes,
For we’ll always be the same.

Here we are again,
Drifting on stronger winds,
Going back to a time long before,
Is all we’ve got left.

There’s something in our place,
Maybe it’s time for us to leave,
Venture outward onto distant shores,
Home is no place for the heart.
