FAUCET – Audience Feedback

MT: “The Faucet”, a comedic film and kind of a social commentary too. I’m sure we’ve gotten our hands all wet and soapy and try to rinse them off and the faucet doesn’t work and it drives you crazy. Anybody want the first comment on “The Faucet”?

Audience 1: Every time I see a touchless faucet I wonder why they ever got rid of the ones I had when I was in high school where there was a ring underneath and you would step on it and it would make the water come on so I hate that and I would give this guy a total pass if he left the washroom without washing his hands in this case. I wondered how he’s react when the other guy took a poo and then left without washing his hands, because then you don’t want to touch the door handle after watching that! The he finally manages to wash his hands and the dryer doesn’t work, I mean, we felt sorry for this guy because we’ve all been there.

MT: We’ve all seen people take a poo and not wash their hands. You ever go to a sporting event? It happens all the time!

Audience 2: It really made me think of how much we take for granted every day. Like being able to wash your hands, until you can’t and then it’s like “Oh my G-d!” and then when he is finally able to it’s like “wow!” running water can be the most beautiful thing.

MT: Really. It is interesting how something could be such a relief. I was curious about that last scene, like did we really need it? But yeah, you’ve convinced me that we did.

Audience 3: I initially wondered if this was going to be a racist faucet, [audience laughter] like if it wasn’t going to recognize skin color or something. That was my initial thought.

MT: Yeah, you were wondering about the other guys, I considered the same thing.
