WHAT PASSES BETWEEN WOMEN by Patty Fischer

Get to know writer Patty Fischer:

1. What is your novel about?

This novel “What Passes Between Women” is a women’s fiction/crime drama of a circle of women very different from each other that create a close bond in the midst of a sensational murder case happened in the quaint city of Noblesville, Indiana.

2. Why should this novel be read by people?

The novel possesses a double distinction: criminal mind of a true psychopath embodied in the character of a most unlikely type of man, an intellectual paunchy middle-age Biology teacher. Where the murder takes place in this Midwestern quiet city, not a crime-riddled metropolis, much like the popular film “Fargo”.

3. How would you describe this novel in two words?

Edgy but Homespun.

4. What movie have you seen the most in your life?

Witness for the Prosecution (1957) film

5. How long have you been working on this novel?

I have been working on this novel for the last nine months.

6. Do you have an all-time favorite novel?

My favorite novel is “Memoir of a Geisha” by Arthur Golden

7. What motivated you to write this novel?

I work as a high school custodian. One night a peculiar set of circumstances happened between two teachers late at night. My imagination and fascination with the criminal mind took over.

8. What artist would you love to have dinner with?

The artist I would love to have dinner with is Anthony Bourdain. A well-known chef all over the world, he is an artist in his own right. His uncanny way with words, and knowledge of good food, together to be defined as the perfect dining experience.

9. Apart from writing, what else are you passionate about?

As well as writing, I am quite passionate about painting.

10. What influenced you to enter the Novel Festival?

I came onto your site as I was on a search to promote my writing and find the adequate representation.

11. Any advice or tips you’d like to pass on to other writers?

Some advice to pass on – Never stop writing because of rejections, no matter how many. Writing brings to me such a sense of accomplishment, and I keep learning as I write.
