Watch NOT ENOUGH, 140 Character Short Story:
Get to know writer Christina Black:
1) What is your very short story about?
The story is about love and how hard is to enjoy love.
2) What motivated you to write this story and submit it to the festival?
While straight myself, a family member is struggling with her identity for as long as I can remember. I wanted to write something that would show that struggle and how, sometimes, love is not enough.
3) What movie have you seen the most in your life?
Probably The Silence of the Lambs. I was 10 when the movie came out and didn’t watch it until years later, but I was impressed with the script and acting enough to watch it every time it was on the tv. Even now, despite having the DVD, it’s one of the few movies that I will sit and watch no matter the time or how tired I am.
4) How many scripts and stories have you written?
Scripts, I haven’t touch that. Not yet anyway. Lots of ideas tho. Stories, probably hundred. Most of them are silly little things; attempts of finding my writing voice and figuring out my strengths and weakness as a writer.
5) What artists would you love to work with?
I think we all have actors and directors we want to work with, but what I really want is to work with people that will understand me and my work.
6) What is your passion in life?
Definitely writing. If it works, it works. If it doesn’t, it doesn’t. It won’t stop me for writing.
7) Any tips for other writers who want to write a 140 character short
I’m going to sound like a broken record, but write as much as you can. Write a line and go from there. Write a 30 pages story that makes no sense, just write. And don’t be afraid of what others are going to think.
