Where’d They Hide The Cowboy
by Gayle Upshaw
Tank tops and mini skirts
Cars and bars, open collard shirts
Strange eats, lots of treats
Everybody’s got their favorite toy
(As for me)….I just want to know….
Where’d they hide the cowboy?
There’s big streets, folks hurryin’ by
Fumes and smoke, cloudin’ up the sky
Groups of people partyin’
Everybody jumping for joy
(As for me)….I just want to know
Where’d they hide the cowboy?
Make believe, it’s all the rage
Land filled with hype, No I’m not your type
(As for me)…I just want to know… Where’d they hide the cowboy?
Highways are freeways
From two lanes to four
Fast driving, lots of yelling
Someone’s shot, No one’s telling
I just want to know
Where’d they hide the cowboy?
No quiet nights, just bright lights
Noisemakers and expensive toys
Gimme a call, we’ll do lunch, at the cinema salad bar
Rent a limo for the day, to look like a movie star
Me…I just want to know
Where’d they hide the cowboy?
Make believe, it’s all the rage
Land filled with hype, No I’m not your type
(As for me)…I just want to know… Where’d they hide the cowboy?
