SIMPLICITY. Trees, bushes, flowers, grass, swayed in the wind…to a beat all of their own. As I sat in my car watching this green form of life I began to reminisce on my own life’s past. It was oh so simple back then.

A child playing in the grass, swaying backwards and forwards between siblings in a game of tag, hide n seek, dodge ball…not a care in the world…laughter engulfing the country air.

Today I sat in the car with the windows down and roof back, basking in the sun’s hot, yet soothing ray’s shining through the sunroof while visions of life’s past ran freely across the freshly cut lawn. It was at that moment in time I longed for simplicity again. Not for the child of life’s past but for the pleasure it could bring.

As I looked out over the lawn I watched several planted trees all different in their own way, swaying to and fro, I felt a strong breeze of warm air sweep across my face. At that moment my thoughts grew deeper into simplicity of life’s past. In an instant, in a flash, I felt a sense of simple joy, a simple childhood peace that had long been forgotten; buried deep inside somewhere that only a gentle warm breeze could bring to surface. At that very moment, I found my very own tree, my very own bush, my very own patch of grass that swayed to and fro. I found a moment of happiness. I found SIMPLICITY!
