Reanna’s short film FORGOTTEN FLORA was the winner of BEST FILM at the February 2018 FEMALE Feedback Film Festival in Los Angeles.

Matthew Toffolo: What motivated you to make this film?

Reanna Miller: As a student, I realized I began spending less and less time with my family. The busier I got, the less I saw of the people I love. The only connection to my family at times was a cellphone. I love technology, as it helps me create artwork, but I slowly began to rely on it for everything. I wanted to make something addressing a personal issue, something I felt strongly about. As a digital animator, it gets frustrating sitting at a computer all the time, and this led me to include a nature element in my film.

2. From the idea to the finished product, how long did it take for you to make this short?
