As the pilot episode begins, Emma’s body revolts in an age-appropriate if unexpected way. A doctor and a vaginal physical therapist prescribe vaginal dildo exercises. In the cab ride on the way home, Emma examines the dildo. The cabbie hits a pothole, her newly purchased dildo lands in the cabbie’s lap. Emma distracts herself by making lunch for a neighbor whom she learns survived the Japanese internment. Later, Emma attempts her Kegels; the dildo gets stuck just as her Havanese, Boo Radley, needs walking. She walks her dog in serious discomfort, arriving home to find that her ex-pat boyfriend has returned stateside to declare his love for her.

Emma is a bi-racial bi-national, award-winning classical music prodigy, who is composing a musical opus based on four American racist place names. This opus combines classical, pop, funk, R and B, blues, jazz and the forms of ethnic music appropriate to the chosen geographic locations.

Video Pitch for Lenin by Eric A. Lewis (Mini Series)

Get to know the writer:

What is your story about?

It is the rise of Vladimir Lenin, told as a Macbeth story. It is a DISILLUSIONMENT
PLOT which shows that power does not corrupt, but rather reveals character.
Another major subtext would be along the lines of “The best laid plans” or “The
road to hell is paved with good intentions.” As well, it shows that “the past is
prolog” to borrow line from KING LEAR.
The point of entry into the story is particularly fascinating as it is at once dynamic:
Lenin is brought to von Hindenburg and two dark and sinister characters within the
German High Command, by Eric Ludendorf – the de facto leader of Germany at this
time. It is much like Macbeth brought to the Three Witches, as well, the plot that
emerges is entirely similar in scope, an the character trees line up well too!

Why should people know this story?

It is clear by recent events, both global and domestic, that people are not learning from
history because they’ve been reduced in attention span and reasoning ability by both the
media and well orchestrated propaganda in general. Real enemies create fake ones, and so
it goes.
This script shows how the flower germinated by Chi Shi, Sun Su, the Byzantine
Empire and Machiavelli opened in all its nefarious glory. This event, more than any
other, set the stage for the world as we know it!

This story has a lot going for it. How would you describe this story in two words?

Dynamic history!

What movie have you seen the most in your life?

Not fair! These have been around awhile, and I like them a lot!
THE BRIDGE ON THE RIVER KWAI
THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY
CHINATOWN
THE DELIVERANCE
THE SEVEN SAMURAI
RED BEARD
CASABLANCA

How long have you been working on this story?

A bit over a year. The research has been difficult. The best info. is actually from a lot
of out of print books. Many were driven out of print by “The McCarthy Era”.

How many stories have you written?

Not including “learning scripts” , this is my second. There has been monumental growth in
this process! The first was an adaptation of a “Pynchonesque” story by a Maori intellectual.

What motivated you to write this story?

It pains me to witness the dumbing down of our society; I want to tell the truth, but do it
in an exciting and dramatic way.

Apart from writing, what else are you passionate about?

Exercise and outdoor fun:
Biking, flyfishing, etc

Any advice or tips you’d like to pass on to other writers?

Don’t give up!
