Get to know writer Ashley Gamrat:

1. What is your very short story about?

This very short story is about the first dance between husband and wife on their wedding day.

2. What motivated you to write this story and submit it to the festival?

I wrote this story for a contest on writing.com. Then i saw this pop up on twitter and thought why not give it a try.

3. What movie have you seen the most in your life?

My all time favorite movie is Young Frankenstein. We watch and rewatch movies all the time so that list would be pretty long.

4. How many scripts and stories have you written?

I just started getting back into writing about a year or so ago. More poetry than anything, but starting to work towards my first book. Few short stories here or there.

5. What artists would you love to work with?

I would love to work with or even just observe Jared Leto. I feel he is a true artist in everything he does and in himself. He is an inspiration to keep going toward your dreams.

6. What is your passion in life?

My passion is writing. At times it might have been on the back burner because of life getting in the way, but it’s always been there.

7. Any tips for other writers who want to write a 140 character short story?

Writing these very short stories i just take an idea and try to get the most meaning out of it in 140 characters. Also I pull up my twitter account and do the writing there, so that i know i’m not going over the 140.
