he + she Poetry Reading. Poem by cc lindh

My poem, he + she, celebrates the special and beautiful love between Lita and Tolliver. It was
performed at their wedding. (Tolliver is my son and Lita is his college sweetheart.)

Let’s get to know poet cc lindh more:

Matthew Toffolo: What is the theme of your poem?

cc: My poem, he + she, celebrates the special and beautiful love between my son and his wife.

MT: How would you like people to respond when they read or watch your poetry reading?

cc: I hope that he + she makes people happy and also makes people feel the vibration that is love. I also
hope that my poem pulls up the understanding that a marriage creates a unique partnership, a unique form and that this form is now born and real in this world!

MT: Do you have a favorite poem besides your own?

I love the poetry of Emily Dickinson. I especially like her poem: Hope is the Thing with Feathers.

MT: What movie have you seen the most in your life?

cc: Chasing Mavericks. It’s a film about the amazing and inspiring surfer Jay Moriarty and his quest to surf Mavericks in Santa Cruz.

MT: Do you have a favorite writer?

cc: Emily Dickinson is my favorite writer.

MT: What influenced you to write poetry?

cc: Previously, I spent time writing songs and I see poems as an extension of that, of songs, quiet songs. I have these feelings that just come up and need to be expressed. It makes me very happy if people enjoy my work. Thank you fans!

MT: What is your favorite song?

How can a person possibly say just one song?

I totally adore My Funny Valentine, Nature Boy, and Smile.
And, of course, I’ll Be Seeing You by Billie Holiday!

THANK YOU WILDsound for all your help and support!
