Bill Paxton.jpgBill Paxton

Born: May 17, 1955 in Fort Worth, Texas, USA

Date of Death 26 February 2017 (complications from surgery)

Married to: Louise Newbury (12 May 1987 – present) (2 children)
Kelly Rowan (2 October 1979 – 22 July 1980) (divorced)

I support the troops. This is tough time right now. I think a lot of people in our industry are afraid to speak out. I had a drink with Sean Penn the other night. He went over to Baghdad in December just to see for himself what was going on. And that guy is as American as anybody I ever met.

[on auditioning for The Doors (1991)] I read my ass off. At the time I was doing Navy Seals (1990) and I flew up with short hair and a mustache to read for the lead. [Oliver Stone’s] response was, “Well, I just don’t see it”.

[on James Cameron] This guy has more integrity than anyone I ever met in my life.

Anyone who’s worked very hard on a craft or an art to get a certain precision in terms of execution and performance wants to get past all that stuff that holds you up – your ego, all the doubts.
[on his experiences as a director] I have great empathy for my actors. They trust me because they know that I have been on the front end of the camera.

Happy, Poetry by Samrat Rudra

Genre: hurt, dark, death, sad

—–

 When I was happy
I didn’t bother to care
that people are dying, orphans are crying
I satisfied that I am here…

Here so happy and cherish and good
But still I wish for more,
But what about the beggars on street
or people who died ashore..

I am so happy but still I am crying
that so much I didn’t get
Think about the soldiers who die
Their funerals don’t have a bed

Blood is shed, sacrifices made
It’s how they leave their loved
So when I compare them with my life
I am happy and its not so hard…

FINAL DESTINATION, Poetry by Pavan Datta

GENRE: DEATH THE FINAL DESTINATION

FINAL DESTINATION by Pavan Datta

All know the truth that Death is the only fact and final destination. Ultimately the final destination is known to all but still everyone keep on living in Illusion that he/she is going to be immortal.

Hard fact of Life is: The final destination of all human beings is either Mortuary or the Funeral place.

This was your only final destination…..

What did you get from your life……

You just wasted your life to reach here….

Your own people left you here alone after putting you to Ashes.

Your own people left you alone after putting you in Grave.

What did your Life had given you….

What did you get from this World….

All the persons on whom you were relying through out your life….

All those persons left you alone in ashes here.

All those persons left you alone in grave.

Every one got one Life to do some thing for mankind, But time is passing and the person is busy in making money and wealth.

What will you do with so much of wealth and money?

Whereas there is no pocket in the “cerements”

No cupboard and lockers to keep wealth in the “grave”

And My dear friends, the Gods of Death not even take any bribes.

CANCER, Poetry by C.M. Krishack

Genre: family, death, and sadness.

CANCER
by C.M. Krishack

Like a thief in the night,

you come into our lives.

One minute we are able,

the next we are condemned.

Your methods are not restricted,

your victims are not selective,

you are merciless and forbidding,

callous and bold.

You take no prisoners,

yet you leave us imprisoned.

You attack with no sympathy,

you leave lives in shambles.

Hearts forever shattered,

words never articulated,

families forever broken-

you are our adversary

yet never motivated.

You leave us speechless,

but screaming till the end.

Screams of “Why?”

Screams of “Help!”

But our voices are just memories

left behind.

The essence of those lost

are left comforting the living.

Those that have met you

will live to remember you.

Your name is unspoken

but whispered in the lives

you have claimed-

Cancer.

the bluest cloud, Poetry by Vivien Lin

Genre: death

the bluest cloud
by Vivien Lin

you came and woke me early today

blue traces in your hair

said the wind had smelt just like the sun

said I could find you there

your sunbeam hands tipped them forward the

driftwood of your conscience

ruckled midnight words of the absurd

borderline of nonsense

you are and will be the greatest thing

I lend my night sky to

all my moonlit sighs of dawn’s first light

they all belong to you

you are enthralled by refulgent flames

planets away from me

laughing the records of ’94

your voice above the keys

glass misted with the breath of a boy

a whisper from the breeze

the parts of me that fail to reach you

meander in the sea

Luftmenschen #2, Poetry by LJ Kessels

Genre: Death, Dark

Luftmenschen #2
by LJ Kessels

An empty forest, filled with spurs, steam coming from a gully and a
burning barge on the bayou. Cocaine lines on a cigar-tugging chest;
dirty feet on the plastic covered couch.

An egg breaks on a portrait of the assassinated William.

Trees illuminated by the night into majestic white statues unhindered
by time.

A dark sea foaming,

Bin bags floating

Sitting down for a cup of tea with exposed breasts.

Empty parking lots

And faded images of running through the streets.

Hands placed on the head peering over the eastern sea.

She is stroking his hair while he gives head.

All these bodies are out of focus.

The landscape left black against a light sky

Beggary next-door to unsullied people dressed in white

The roaring sound of a bustling café came in from nowhere.

There is a Zamboni running around her head,

Cleaning her membranes

While in the street with her legs wide spread.

EACH BENCH, Poetry by PV Harrington

Genre: REFLECTION, DEATH, EVERYDAY LIFE.

EACH BENCH
By PV Harrington

Stephen Hercules Shaw
Much loved, much missed
Born the same year as you.
I rest on the bench
your mother bought
your brother bought,
your friends bought
to remember
and let imagine.

The ducks half swim, half skate
on the half-frozen half-winter lake
as I, half blind, half lame, half finished
watch ripples climb tree trunks
and tree trunks rippling in the water –
leaning sideways in the air,
legs crossed in reflection.

My shadow hat floats on the surface
as the wind changes.
I hope for the heron but hear coots.
It’s cold but not cold enough.
Each bench has a name and two dates
One has fresh flowers and a card
“To Pop, Happy Christmas.”

As I heave
myself
up

A woman hurries past with a small annoyed dog
and I wonder
whether she thinks
I left the card,
or stole a white carnation.
