Existence
Poem by Lloyd Mushrow

Arrival a struggle of cry and wonder,
Be it pride or reeked with blunder
Nourished with parental manner
Religious teaching a charging banner
With faith we live and die for reason
Without however there is no season
Bogged down sometimes with vast confusion
Whilst reverting back to past illusions
like dusting mummies we anticipate
The promise of eternal state
Constantly evaluating our existence
with awareness always of time’s persistence
Dare we question beyond our scope
For what would life be without Hope.
