Get to know writer Damien Michael Aulsberry:

1. What is your screenplay about?

Biker Frank Cluskey finds his family’s lives are at stake when an old acquaintance tries to drag him back into the sinister world he’d left behind.

2. Why should this script be made into a movie?

I think the audience can connect with the characters in a story that’s unique and fresh.

3. How long have you been writing stories?

A late starter this is my first screenplay.

4. What movie have you seen the most in your life?

I love In Bruges and the rest of the McDonagh brothers movies.

5. What artists would you love to work with?

Peter Mullan, Brendan Gleeson, Paddy Considine and Olivia Coleman are wonderful actors.

6. How many stories/screenplays have you written?

Two at the moment but about five in various stages of development.

7. Ideally, where would you like to be in 5 years?

Making movies.

8. Describe your process; do you have a set routine, method for writing?

I outline using the three act structure and flesh things out from there. The first draft is usually the bare bones but once its done the magic can begin.

9. Apart from writing, what else are you passionate about?

Family, friends and football.

10. What influenced you to enter the WILDsound Festival?

Its a wonderful opportunity to see ones work being performed.

11. Any advice or tips you’d like to pass on to other writers?

Believe in yourself and speak with your own voice.
