SKIES ABOVE SYRIA
by HABIB AKEWUSOLA

Same crew,
Unknown airspace.

islamick crisis state
Misplaced enveloped craze.

Publicity publishes reports,
Editorial tributes
Dry ink cups.

Suspicious presidential price,
Justice evade hidden paradise.

Expensive peace,
Planting gas on protesting waters.
Reveling of truth,
Closely intermediate to conflict.

Let’s leave together,
You doubt uncertainty,
Rockets wouldn’t kill, if
Hostages deal,
But man melts steel.

Mass grave,
Hours ago, city was lively.
Six in threes,
Execution upon a time
Earth,

Coding parliamentary pledge,
Temporarily spoilt clock,
Little wire and tread,
Strap two batteries
Around her neck
Sprinkle black dust,
Bang !!!!
Bang!!!
Improvised death.

After researching catalyst,
Reality can’t sleep.
Misplaced islamick

WEAK END, Poetry by HABIB AKEWUSOLA

Genre: Rhyme, Society

WEAK END
by HABIB AKEWUSOLA

Kill fear, bury her in
Thy tinny chest,
Lyrics of bravery,
Dancing to work daily.

Campaign leaks pay,
Popping bubbles cause
A perfect friday.

Age is my pride
On the days that I climb

Pain is a sign
Soul isn't for man.
So,
Man the good,
Tame the evil.

You can't read love
Leadership is worse,
But,
Wire connects a new world.

Rename fear into strength
Remain friends with respect,
Keep humility close to thy chest,
Decency must label your dress.

Prosperity will call me next.

SARA’KEY
by Habib Akewusola

Learn from ants
Like she climbs in accordance,

Tit for tat
Golden embarrassment
In advance.

Lust for bank notes
Assignment to take home,

Desperado is a thug
No side talk in my court

Dead becomes breeze,
A wise smells disease.

Paper lion coined king
Plate for two, satisfy thee.

Conductor docked,
Kindly replay thy tongue.

Journey of maybe return,
Tsunami must bath this
Rigid kingdom.

Solder for fortune,
Give me a joke
All manage same smile.

Lies don’t see a mirror,
The law can examine me raw.

Dear Crumb, Poetry by Oyin Oludipe and Habib Akewusola

Genre: Rhyme, Life, Society, Nature

Dear Crumb
by Oyin Oludipe and Habib Akewusola

Dear crumb, dear lone
Seed of the tattered streets,
Your shadows faint with grief
Not the procession of suns

Dear crumb, dear harvester
Of dust, strange human reins
Expunge your path…
Will human sweat suffice?

Dear crumb, dear womb
Of a world’s cold glance,
Your dirge is feast for birds
Not dance for feet of men

Dear crumb, dear hollow
Forager of the night,
Let the cruel seep of light
Adorn your blistered belly

I shall wait for you on the dawn,
With bread and wine on both hands –
Perhaps you will emerge without a belly
Or without a hunger!

Dear crumb, idol worship hope,
Spirits of tonight
Heat up my soul.

Dear crumb, sirens don’t bite
Rivers never cry,
Hungary skeleton anticipate
To take a stroll into the spirit life.

Dear crumb, love isn’t equal,
I hate a little liquor
I love my meat semi raw,
Old age is safer for
A poor.

Dear Crumb, dear denier,
Life beats to his tongue
Advise like ice, melts before my
Eyes.

Dear crumb, dear loamy
Ancient harvester become lonely,
See my palm, map to glory.
Suffering for free,
Who says birds don’t fly
When the sun is asleep?

FREE DUMB, Poetry by HABIB AKEWUSOLA

Genre: Political, Society, Life

FREE DUMB
by HABIB AKEWUSOLA

Saint of perfumed change
Antibiotic tablet,
Two capsules for a brave.

Who’s the man without
A people?

Internally displaced
Becoming slaves,

Who’s the people without
A man?

Help scream “Mayday”,
Associated spiritualist advertise
“I haven’t been paid”.

Your honesty surprises me,
Confidential skin
Thick saliva baptize thieves.

Wake me at the tail of
My dream
After changes has changed
This regime

Prosperity in advance,
Democratic shepard please
Don’t copy from France.

Operate my coma economy,
Surgeon I will crown you glory.

Black can do what
White handle,

Waxing tenure’s candle,
Mentality might not spark
You.

Cola nut’s crunching native bond,
Munch burger king obesity prince.

The world isn’t ours
Thou becomes a visitor in hours.

My fathers fading love
Talent eventually woke me up.

Precious time with my
Kids
Isn’t mixing ice cream with
Her milk teeth.

Free Africa,

A single broom, only one bunch.
